What you need to know before your photo shoot?
"What should I bring for my photo shoot?"
-Bring any clothes, accessories, and props which interest you. It's always great to show your personality in your photos, this also helps you feel more comfortable and relax! If your shoot includes hair and makeup, all hair products and airbrush make-up will be supplied with over 200 shades of eye-shadow to choose from!!
"How should I come for my photo shoot?"
-If your shoot package includes hair and make-up, you should arrive with hair clean and dry, do not straighten or curl hair, and face clean with no foundation, comfortable clothes with button down top or loose shirt easy to remove without messing styled hair.
**pre-shoot minimal tanning (if you have tan lines) and refresh haircoloring is suggested. A good rule of thumb: Don't wait until the day before your shoot to color hair or do any major changes! give yourself a few days to a week incase of oops! incidences to fix before you get in front of the camera.
"How long does a photo shoot take?"
-A photoshoot can take anywhere from an hour to 4 or 5 hours depending on your type of shoot and the preparation beforehand. It is appreciated when clients message photos or any ideas of themes they would like in advance which can help reduce time the day of the shoot. Packages with hair, make-up, and a larger number of photos wll be minimum of 2 hours but can go all day. Children and newborns don't always want to do a shoot when you plan one, so time limits can make having a child ready to get the perfect shot very difficult. I do not book multiple shoots per day, When you book your photoshoot day.. it's YOUR day!
The Photo Process
Viewing Photos:
- Within 1 to 2 weeks of your shoot, photos will be sorted and uploaded into a password protected viewing gallery. A link will be sent via email/message. You can share gallery to family and friends but it is requested that all unedited photos are not posted on public sites such as Facebook and Instagram. Once edits are finished client will recieve a photo release for use of the photos. This gallery will remain posted until photos are completely processed.

Selecting Photos:
-Use your online gallery to view your photos. Comments can be made to photos which you select with "selection/this one/etc." Please make sure you have chosen the numbers of the photos you want, the photos you select will be the ones you will receive. You will be responsible to pay for any extra photos out of your package, unless otherwise determined by Colour Contessa Photography. Please be prompt in choosing! it can be very difficult to choose but processing time begins when you submit your photos for editing!

Processing Time:
-Photos can take a minimum of 3 weeks to a month to select and edit for small package shoots and up to 3 months for larger package shoots. Books and other specialty printed items can take more time to prepare and receive from the printer than other printed items. Please keep this in mind when booking your shoot for an occassion or to have an item or photos for a a specific date.
Receiving Photos:
-Edited photos will be available for digital download through the viewing site. Discs are available for an additional purchase and will come personalized with your photos. Along with your disc you will recieve a copy of your contract/release form for print purposes and any prints that your have purchased or that come wth your photo package. Discs are normally shipped ground USPS and are recieved within 2-3 buisness days of shipment.
